Dr Ellie Willard

Dr Ellie Willard - Ellie is a senior lecturer in Psychology at Leeds Beckett University with specialisms in Educational, Developmental and Cognitive Psychology. The majority of her research looks at mechanisms in, and barriers to, learning in adolescents. This includes work on subject-specific and test anxiety. Her PhD focused upon perspectives of adolescents with difficulties processing and learning Mathematics (specifically indications of Dyscalculia).

Prior to entering Higher Education she gained 11 years’ experience teaching secondary age students, in particular 16-19 year olds. To date, she has also published seven A level and International Baccalaureate Psychology text books.
